Tara Glenn, LCSW, IMH-E®

Infant Mental Health Mentor-Clinical

My values are joy, laughter, relationship, peace, and compassion. I believe we are all created for connection and purpose. What I want you to know most of all is that you will be honored and respected for the courage it takes to come to therapy. This work can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone—and you deserve to feel better in a way that lasts.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an endorsed infant mental health clinician by the Oklahoma Association of Infant Mental Health. I began my career with a focus on treating childhood sexual abuse and trauma.  As my practice continued, I expanded into treatment of families with infants/young children who have experienced scary and confusing things or have experienced attachment disruptions.  I help adults who have feelings or behaviors that impact the person they want to be.  I am trained in EMDR, Circle of Security Parenting, Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child Parent Psychotherapy, as well as other trauma-informed treatments.

what am I like?

I take my job as a trauma-informed therapist very seriously. And while my job is very serious, I am not always serious. I am a good fit for people comfortable with a bit of levity and joy mixed in with the hard work.
I am not an advice-giver. I am someone who will help you organize your thoughts, feelings and sensations so that you can trust yourself. I like dorky neuroscience. I love being curious about the whys and the hows but with purpose, to help you gain a sense of well-being and ease.
